The PTA Arts in Education Committee is very excited about our upcoming programs.  In October, we have renowned singer/songwriter Lyle Cogan performing "Sticks and Stones".  This performance of song, monologue and poetry address the epidemic problem of bullying.  Lyle will also perform for our Kindergarteners with her "Friends Like You and Me" show.

In December, the 5th and 6th graders will be graced with a visit from Beethoven himself (or as close to the real thing as possible!)  Mr. Dennis Kobray, of "Meet the Musicians” brings to life great musical figures from history for students to meet and get to know.  His performances are educational as well as entertaining.

We will also be bringing in a published author Josephine Nobisso to share her writing expertise with the third graders.  Her highly regarded book "Show, Don't Tell" is packed with skills and tips on creative writing.   The 4th graders will once again enjoy the wonderful program on American Indians.   Around Earth Day, our 1st and 2nd graders will have the performing duo " Constant Wonder" present songs, activities, props and high-energy to inspire them to wonder about our world.   And school wide - we have a fantastic, week long Physical Education program coming into each and every one of our gym classes!    More details to follow on these and more wonderful programs
